  Sarah once again reminded herself of the mission. She needed to get the agent into the atmosphere and not comfort large aliens nervous about meeting earth women. This whole planet was affecting her way of thinking.

  Both men took a hand and led her over the hill they’d been standing on to another smaller cave.

  “This is my home,” Sarti said. “I’m so pleased to have you here.”

  “Thank you,” she said and walked in taking the different things in the cave into consideration. She wondered if the Klaskians had decorators and people to help tell them what looked good. It was thoughts like these that had her distracted at the most inopportune times. It had been a problem all her life. Her attention span was just very short.

  “We can play a game, or eat,” Notla suggested and she sank down onto the couch. It was comfortable. To her surprise, she found it was heated.

  “Food would be good actually,” Sarah said realizing she was hungry.

  The two men disappeared into another room and she could hear them rummaging around. There were no pictures of loved ones about. She found herself wondering if they took photographs, or if that was just something earth people did. She laughed as she thought of a world without Instagram and selfies. They had it made.

  The two came back with a large white plate full of food. Nothing looked familiar but it smelled delicious. They stood in front of her and Notla sat the plate down on the round surface in front of the couch. It could be called a table but it had lots of little spikes sticking out and she wasn’t really sure why. The plate sat upon them and she reached out to grab something that looked like bread.   “Aren’t you going to eat?” She asked the men who both stood just watching her.

  “No, we like watching you eat,” Sarti said. He looked hungry, but not for food. She cleaned the plate unable to stop herself from devouring everything. When she was done Notla brought her a glass of red liquid and she drank it down. They both went to the kitchen to clean up and she could hear them murmuring.
