The Fate of the Dragons Series Box Set Page 8
“You don’t like it.”
“Where are we?” Abby asked moving towards the living room. Although she had hoped for something a bit more personal, the high end apartment was stunning. Fit for a Queen with all the modern technology at her fingertips. Her fingers traced over the back of the couch as she stared out the large windows to the city that stretched out before her.
“Our new place,” Luc beamed, walking to her and wrapping his arms around her waist. He squeezed her tight and rested his chin on her shoulder.
“I can’t afford this place,” Abby confessed twisting around in Luc’s arms to face him.
“You don’t have to worry about any of that. Not anymore.”
“But I kind of like my dorm room with Jess.”
“I thought you might say that, which is why this place has an extra room if you want to have her come and live here with us.”
“I don’t know how she’d feel about having a sword literally dangling over her head.” Abby cocked her head and pointed to the jewel inlaid sword mounted to the wall.
“Okay, no swords, but just so you know, that has been in my family for centuries. It is the only weapon that can kill,” Luc paused and shrugged.
“What?”
“One of us,” he said dropping his head. The room filled with silence for a split second before Luc shrugged off the awkwardness and flashed her a brilliant smile to distract her.
“I assume it has a name?” Abby giggled walking over to it and staring at the emeralds and rubies lining the blade. “You admire it like it’s an old lover or something.”
“Maybe it is,” Luc teased.
“Alright Luc,” Abby peeled her eyes from the blade and turned to face him. Her eyes narrowed on him, “What is this all about? I mean it's very lovely apartment and all, but it’s too much.”
“I know you don’t understand, at least not yet. But I have waited centuries for you and each life we have been together, you and I have never had this.” Luc waved his hand around the room.
“I just wanted to give you what you deserve. You are a daughter of a lord.”
“That was Abigail. I am not her.”
“But you are. Deep down you are still that noble woman I met all those years ago. And there are parts of her that will forever be tied to you.”
“Luc, maybe we are moving too fast. Maybe we could just exchange keys or something instead of jumping into a full blown relationship status.” Luc’s eyes dropped and his tight grip around her loosened. Abby reached up to his face, cupping her hands around his face.
“Please don’t think I don’t love you,” Abby whispered. “I do. It’s just that this is a lot to take in. The past few months have been crazy and I am still trying to wrap my head around being…” Her voice trailed off as she refused to bring herself to say the word.
“A dragon,” Luc finished with a faint smile tugging at his lips. Abby nodded.
“Well,” Luc shook his head and threw back his shoulders as he straightened his back. “I have waited forever for you Abby. What’s a few more years? If this is too fast for you, then I’ll slow down. But, please at least consider staying the night, with me?”
Abby smiled and leaned forward. She pressed her lips to his and wrapped her arms around his neck trying to hold him closer. Luc’s hands drifted down her back and tucked his hand behind her head holding her in place.
“Maybe I could stay here tonight,” Abby said breathlessly as she pulled away from Luc. Luc nibbled on her neck as his hands roamed freely over her body.
“I was hoping I might be able to convince you. After all, you haven’t seen the rest of the place.”
“Are you trying to seduce me sir?” Abby panted trying to keep her wits about her.
“Maybe,” Luc chuckled. He pulled away leaving Abby with a burning desire for him as he winked at her. “Come on, let me show you everything you’ll be missing.”
Luc grabbed Abby by the hand and moved through the living room. Abby’s eyes popped as Luc pushed through the master bedroom door. In the center of the room, a large bed with thin silky curtains drifting down from the ceiling filled the majority of the space. Large windows replaced the back wall showing her the city skyline. Her mouth dropped as Luc pulled her closer to the bed.
“What is all this?” Abby wondered as she reached out to touch the curtains falling from the ceiling like a gentle waterfall.
“Just something from our past. I couldn’t bring you to the original home we shared, but I saved this piece for when we would be reunited. What do you think?”
“I think you are trying to impress me with your wealth.”
“It’s not just my wealth, it’s ours. Don’t you get it yet? Everything I have is yours.”
Abby glanced down to her chest and touched the space between her breasts. “Even this.”
“Yes, even that,” Luc said reaching to touch her hand resting on her sternum.
“Do you ever wonder if your feelings for me stem from me having your heart? What if you don’t really care for me and you are forced to?”
“It doesn’t work that way. The piece of my heart that is in you only amplifies what is already there. And I loved you from the moment I saw you. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have given it to you to begin with.”
“But, what if how I feel about you is a result of your heart?”
“Abby,” Luc took both her hands into his and stared at her. The gentle glow of golden flakes in his eyes filled her with desire as he spoke. “I can’t force you to love me if that is what you’re thinking. If you had hated me when I gave you the piece, then the hate would intensify, not the love.”
“But, there is a fine line between love and hate,” Abby said as her brows crunched together and her body yearned to be closer to him. Luc smiled and shook his head.
“You’re right,” Luc sighed and dropped his hands from hers.
“About what?”
“I am moving too fast for you.”
“Luc,” Abby started as Luc turned his back to her and stepped closer to the window.
“It’s okay. Really.” Luc turned with a smile and shoved his hand into his pocket. Abby paused and waited as Luc pulled out a small object.
“I don’t want you to be confused and I understand you have a lot to wrap your head around. So,” Luc opened his hand to reveal a shiny little key. “Consider this an open invitation for you.”
“Luc, this is big.”
“Not to me, but I get it. You need time. So, my door is always open to you. I don’t want you to think that just because you have my heart you don’t have free will. That is not the kind of love I want for you. So, when you’re ready, you know where I’ll be.”
Luc dropped the tiny key into Abby’s hand and closed her fingers around it. Abby’s heart drummed in her ears as he touched her. Her chest tightened as her emotions overwhelmed her. Before Luc could pull away, Abby threw out her arms and wrapped them around him. Luc didn’t fight or try to stop her from attacking him.
Abby held onto him as she tried to pull him back to the bed. Luc laughed and kissed her tenderly holding on to her as they stumbled over the edge of the bed. The bedding swallowed them as Luc shifted his weight off her and rolled to her side laughing.
Luc lifted his hand up and brushed the loose strands of Abby’s hair out of her face. She stared into his eyes lost in the golden flakes of his eyes.
“Thank you,” Abby said brushing her finger tips over his arm.
“For what?”
“This.” Abby smiled as Luc’s eyebrows rose and confusion drifted over his face.
“This moment, this apartment. You.” Abby explained. She lifted her hand up and brushed her fingers over his cheeks before leaning in and pressing her lips to his.
“Maybe you could thank me properly?” A spark flashed in his eyes as the corner of his lip curled.
“Oh? And what exactly do you have in mind?”
“I can think of a few things you can do to thank me,” Luc’
s fingers curled around Abby’s hand and pushed it down towards his waist. Abby kept her eyes locked on him as he pushed her hand to his crotch. Through his thick jeans, Abby didn’t need further explanation. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she cupped her hand over the bulge in his pants.
“I don’t know what kind of girl you think I am,” she teased.
“I know exactly what kind of woman you are, and I love every bit of it.”
Luc released his hand from hers, yet Abby kept her hand closed around him as the bed shifted under his weight. He moved closer. With inches from her lips, Luc turned his head dodging her kiss and went for her neck. The soft brush of his lips against her skin tickled her. She giggled as the throbbing in her hand increased.
“I’m yours,” Luc whispered softly. “Do what you will and don’t hold back.”
Chapter 2
Abby shifted one leg over Luc and mounted him with a wild spark in her eyes. The mattress moaned as Luc shifted to lay flat on his back. With her eyes locked on his face, she let her fingers drift under the loose fabric of his shirt before tugging it up to his chin. She leaned down letting her hot breath drift over his bare skin. Luc shuddered as her breath tickled him and she pulled away to sit straight.
Luc’s eyes drifted over her body carefully observing her as she released his shirt.
“Want me to help you with that?” he asked shifting to pull the shirt over his head. Abby rocked slowly allowing him space to free the shirt from under him. She smiled as his head popped out and Luc tossed the garment over her head. The sound of it hitting the floor was so faint that no human would be able to hear it, but with her new senses, Abby heard everything, including Luc’s heart drumming wildly in his chest.
Before Abby could settle herself, his fingers wrapped around her wrists and pulled her arms down to him. The heat of his body under her touch was like smoldering coals. But she didn’t pull away. The heat only added to the flames within her adding fuel to the fire. With her fingertips, she brushed down the valley of his chest and through the grooves of his stomach. Each muscle she grazed over was like granite, hard and impenetrable but smooth and soft under her touch.
“I told you,” he said. “Don’t hold back. I want you to enjoy this.”
Abby smiled and winked as she freed her hands from his grasp to do as she pleased. She leaned over him allowing the strands of her hair to drift over his shoulders as she kissed him. His deep exhale thrilled her as the space between her legs pooled with the moisture of her pleasure. She wanted him in every way she could have him. And as she let her fingers slip the metal button of his pants off, she paused. This was more than just what she wanted. This was to please him as well.
A smile played at the corners of her lips as she wondered how long she could tease him before he caved and took what he wanted. She inched her way slowly down his body until her nose brushed the inner part of his belly button. His body quivered as the bulge in his pants twitched and ached to be released.
Abby let her fingers roam down the zipper of his pants and she glanced up at him wondering if he would make the next move. But he merely stared at her with a lustful gaze and the anticipation grew into a yearning that even the golden flakes of his eyes couldn’t conceal.
“Is this what you want?” she asked bumping her nose to his crotch.
“Yes,” he hissed trying to hold back from wrapping his hands into her hair and forcing her down on him. She smiled as her fingers walked down his inner thigh. With her eyes still locked on his, she pressed her nails harder into his pants and ran her fingers back up to his hips.
Abby quickly jerked up and stopped. The sudden end jolted Luc out of his daze.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Abby said with a smile as she climbed off him.
“But I thought,” Luc didn’t finish his sentence as he watched her climb off the bed. Abby spun around on her heels and glanced over her shoulder at him. He shook his head and dropped his head back down to the pillow.
“You thought what?” Abby prompted. Her eyes were wild and playful. As she inched her shirt higher up her stomach.
“Nothing,” Luc said shaking his head.
“Well, if you don’t want this,” Abby said dropping her hands and letting her shirt drift down to cover her body. “I guess I can go back to my dorm.”
Abby shrugged and turned to leave, but before she could take a single step away from the bed, Luc was by her side.
“I don’t want you to go anywhere,” he whispered in her ear as his arms curled around her waistline. Abby sucked in a deep breath as Luc spun her around to face the bed.
“Then what do you want?” she cooed as she turned her head to steal a glimpse of him. Luc tugged at the zipper of his pants and the moment the heavy fabric hit the floor, his hands were on her hips.
“You know what I want, the question is, will you give it to me?”
“Why don’t you find out?” Abby said shaking her hips. A low growl ripped through Luc’s chest sending chills racing through her body. Luc didn’t hesitate, his hands slipped around her body and flicked the button to Abby’s pants. He held onto the hem of her jeans and slipped them down to the ground. With her bare legs exposed, he crouched down and rubbed her calf as his lips pressed against her skin inching their way back up to her thighs.
“More,” Abby groaned as her fingers dug into the comforter. Luc’s hand drifted around her thigh and glided up her inner thigh until his fingertips tickled the lips of her vagina. She squirmed under his touch and sucked in a deep breath waiting for him to penetrate her.
Luc rose slowly and stood behind her. With a strong firm grip, he filled his hand with the cheek of her butt. Abby leaned down as far as she could, burying her face into the bed. She could feel his manhood pressing against her body as Luc’s hand held her hips in place.
Before she could twist her head, Luc pushed himself into her. A moan slipped through her open mouth as Luc filled every inch of her. Abby dug her fingers deeper into the comforter as Luc’s thrusts threw her body forward. If it weren’t for his hands on her hips, she would have been pushed further onto the bed. But Luc wasn’t having any of it. She was going to stay right where he wanted her until he was finished.
Abby let herself drift into the pool of lust and dive into the fiery depths of her passion. Each ram of Luc’s hips into hers drove her further from him until in one instantaneous moment they were completely connected. She let out a howl as Luc’s seed spilled into her, filling the darkest recesses of her body.
“Is that what you wanted?” Luc panted as he tried to hold himself from falling over her. Abby couldn’t speak but grunted her pleasure as the ecstasy flowed through her veins.
“Why can’t it be like that all the time?” Abby gasped as Luc slipped his rod out of her, leaving her hollow and empty. With her legs quivering under her weight she dropped to the soft welcoming mattress as she tried to regain her breathing.
“It can you know, if you want it to. We don’t have to stop.”
“Yeah right,” Abby whimpered. The space between her legs ached, and she pulled herself further up onto the mattress to rest. “I don’t know if I would be able to keep going forever. You wear me out too fast.”
“Is that a good thing?” Luc climbed to the space between Abby and drifted down beside her. He wrapped his arm around her and snuggled into her.
“Right now it feels great.”
“Then who cares how long we go? I’m sure over time, you’ll build your endurance.”
“Me? What about you?” Abby giggled. “I believe you came first.”
“No,” Luc laughed and squeezed her tightly before letting her go to roll over to his back. “You came first I could feel you squeezing your body around me.”
“Are you telling me that was a bad thing?” Abby rolled over to face Luc. The soft golden flakes in his eyes shined like the sunset over the open ocean pulling her deeper into him.
“Not at all. I wanted you to enjoy yourself.
But I’m just saying this doesn’t have to end. You could stay here with me and we could do this any time you wanted.”
“I thought that was what the key was for.”
“It is, but if you lived here, you wouldn’t have to go. Or wait. It would instant, one look and I would pounce on you so fast.”
“You know, sometimes you can be such a guy.” Abby grunted and pulled back her arm to slap his shoulder. Luc’s laughter filled the room as Abby rose up and climbed off the bed.
“What did I say?” Luc asked watching Abby scramble for her clothes that were scattered about the room.
“I need some fresh air,” she said turning her attention to the wide-open window and a large balcony that stretched out into the city line.
“Abby, I didn’t mean anything by it really I didn’t. It’s your choice, it always will be.”
“Yeah, until it's not,” she grumbled reaching for the handle to the door and sliding the glass door open. The cool air hit her and soothed her burning skin. She pushed the door closed blocking Luc from her. Even though she knew he could still see her out there alone, the thought of being out of his reach was enough for her to gather her thoughts.
“I could stay here,” she mumbled. “I could live like a princess in this castle,” Abby turned to face the wide-open windows that exposed the master bedroom and all the glamor. She sighed and turned back around to view the city before her.
“But where would I fit in?” she asked to the open space before her. “I don’t belong here.”
Abby dropped her head as a soft breeze kicked up around her causing the tips of her hair to tickle the back of her neck. She shuddered as chills ran through her.
“Here.” A warm soft blanket pressed against her skin and she quickly pulled it to her.
“I didn’t even hear the door open,” Abby said turning around. Her eyes widened as her mouth opened trying to release the scream that was trapped in her throat. Ty lifted his hands up and shook his head.
“Don’t scream,” he said, but the scream was already on the tip of her tongue. She knew it didn’t have to be loud for Luc to hear it. A faint whisper would be all that it took to get Luc out of the apartment and to her side.
